Two of my favorite stores are teaming up.
Last week Apple and Target announced that some stores are getting a new and updated Apple experience.
For those that don’t know, Target was my first job in high school. So I have great memories working there and it is a store that I go to often. This may sound odd, but it is a nice experience just walking around, sometimes reminiscing, and enjoying all of the joys that Target brings.
My local Target’s electronics section has a lot to be desired. Especially when it comes to Apple products. Most of the times, the displays aren’t working on the devices, the devices are outdated, and accessories are unorganized. Just recently, my local Target took away the cabinet where the Apple devices are stored. I am not sure why this is, but I am hoping for a refresh of some sort coming soon.
These new “destination” locations inside Target will have twice as much floor space to show off Apple’s latest products. The employees working will be providing one-on-one assistance that are trained by Apple. I wish Apple was putting one of their own employee’s at these locations. The amount of misinformation I overhear at some retailers is laughable and sad at the same time. Some Best Buy stores have these type of locations, so I am thinking this will be something similar.
My local Target will probably never see this updated design. It is too small of a store. But I am hoping, at the least, that some attention will be put into the Apple section of some of these smaller stores, because they need it.
Target has a new landing page that has been redesigned specifically for Apple.
How often do you make it to your local Target store? Let me know on twitter!
